This source was an article found on a website and included an essay originally written soon after the release of the film and so was rather relevant of the time. From this source I attained the quote: "The film Platoon now brings the acrid aroma of the possibility that war has costs to the nostrils of the me generation." which was interesting as he describes the generation in the same way as Stone when he described how he was trying to make a movie detailing what the war was like to the teens who were too young when the war occured.
